    Yay!
    Stage one of commercial cookery is finally over.
    And I’m having holidays for 3 weeks.
    There are pictures taken during that time and I’m going to post it up when i get the pictures from my friend.
    I’m staying in Melbourne and try to find work. xD

    Sorry to those friends that I said Yeang Shin and I coming back for Cultural Night.
    It was a plan to con you guys.
    Really sorry to those people who putting high hope to see us and those mad at us.

    Today meet up with my grandaunt to get some clothes and my hard drive!

    My new hard drive. I bought it from Boon Siong.
    He is selling all computer stuff. Visit his blog by clicking his name.

    After that, went to visitor centre to accompany my grandaunt to see where to go during her trip here.
    My grandaunt and her friend decided to go Great Ocean Road for 3 days 2 nights and call me to tag along.
    Since I’m quite free and got nothing to do during holiday, so I just accompany them.
    The trip costs around $395 per person.
    I will be going on 12 to 14 July. :)
    After finish booking all the stuff, we went Lygon Street to have our lunch.
    We had pizza at Papa Gino’s restaurant and is a nice place to eat.

    I bought my stuff too and my grandaunt insisted to pay.
    After that, we spilt and will meet up before the trip.
    My grandaunt and her friends are going to New Zealand tomorrow.
    So envy of them. :(

    Came back home, check my clothes and jeans.
    Lastly explore my new hard drive.
    Okay. Is time to play some dota and watch some show. xD

    My laptop is fixed! Yay!
    Have to change basically whole motherboard just because my video card.
    So I got new motherboard. Buahaha!

    Ok. This is not what I want to blog about.
    Today had last practical test for Meat and last cooking class for us in Semester 1.
    Took the last few dishes I’m going to make in Semester 1.

    After tomorrow, I’m going to be free. Wohoo!
    Holiday mood on! xD

    My grandaunt coming down tomorrow and I will get my clothes and hard drive.
    I can’t wait to watch all the movies that Ms. Low and my bro put for me.

    I think I will play DOtA again.
    Ya ya, I suppose not to play anymore but can’t stand anymore as is so bored here.

    Awful Offal day today!
    Well, not much people want to cook the dishes today.
    I cook everything as I want learn to taste it.
    The menus today are Calf’s liver, lamb kidney, lamb brains and lamb sweetbreads.
    I bet when u see the name, you guys don’t feel like eating anymore.
    There are pictures taken. If you can’t stand the name itself, don’t even attempt to look.

    Half way through class, we got free breakfast for parting gift as is our last Saturday class from our chef.
    We had really had great time learning from them.

    Finish theory practical test and hygiene test today.
    Can say we almost done for stage one.
    Just left kitchen practical test and one presentation. Cool.


    Man, my laptop being an ass again just now.
    Sigh!
    Hope the laptop won’t emo with me until the Dell technician come to fix it.

    All went good.
    I’m so lazy to elaborate again.

    After that, had demo for tomorrow offal lesson.
    The food looks good and taste not bad tho.

    Today was the last customer relation tutorials.
    I got back all my assignments and test.
    Test results, I got C.
    Overall was good.
    Read back what I done wrong and I realised I didn’t read the questions properly.
    Sigh! Never mind.
    At least I pass. :D
    Overall was good.

    O ya, happy news. I got a place in the competition.
    So I will be one of the contestants. Yayness!


    After class, I reach back home and on my laptop.
    Guess what, my laptop suddenly merajuk at me.
    The whole screen went black.
    Tried to shut down and turn on again for few times but it doesn’t seem working.
    Let it run with white screen for while then turn on again for last time.
    Finally it worked!
    I know there something wrong with the video card.
    I wanted to see whether it happens again before I call DELL.
    Then I was doing stuff half way. Screen went blank again. I was like WTF?
    Then the screen came back alive.
    After a while, poof, the laptop restarted with white screen. Argh!
    The screen rapidly happens again until I so fed up and rang out DELL.
    They will send technician next week to replace new video card. Thanks god I still got warranty.
    I went to friend’s house to do work.
    The problem occurred for once then the laptop being good till now. Alleluya!
    Thank goodness it didn’t make any problem.
    If not, I won’t able to finish up my assignments which due tomorrow.

    Next week will be our last week of stage one. Wohoooo!!

    Today i woke up late again for my tutorial.

    Friend called me around 8.30am and my class at 9am.

    So i basically rushing like mad and reach campus in 10 minutes.

    I was basically running and sweating.

    Went to library to print out my assignment and head to class.

    End up, the class lasted one hour when it supposed to go for 2 hours.

    Never mind.

    So after that, went library to do my work plan for beef cooking tomorrow.

    Then head to lecture and the lecture today were all about cheese.

    All are about the history of cheese, How to make cheese, and the texture.

    Today I was able to try 3 types of cheese which are brie, cheddar, and blue cheese.

    I will put the summary about all three at bottom. :D

    Brie

    Brie is a soft cows' cheese named after Brie, the French province in which it originated (roughly corresponding to the modern département of Seine-et-Marne). It is pale in colour with a slight greyish tinge under crusty white mould; very soft and savoury with a hint of ammonia. The white mouldy rind is edible, and is not intended to be separated from the cheese during consumption.

    The region in France that gave its name to this cheese (Brie) is, in the French language, feminine: La Brie, but French products take the gender of their general category; in this case cheese (Le fromage) is masculine, and so Brie is also masculine, Le Brie.

    According to legend, during the 8th century, Charlemagne had his first taste of Brie cheese, and immediately fell in love with it.

    Cheddar cheese is a fairly hard, pale yellow to orange, sharp-tasting cheese originating from the English village of Cheddar, in Somerset. [1] Cheddar cheese is the most popular cheese in the United Kingdom, accounting for just over 50% of the country's £1.9 billion annual cheese market.[2] Although Cheddar cheese is originally English, it is also widely produced in other countries, including Ireland, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Canada.

    Blue cheese

    Danish Blue cheese, also known as Danablu if it is made in Denmark, is a light, blue-veined cheese. This semi-soft creamery cheese is typically drum or block shaped and has a white to yellowish, slightly moist, edible rind. Made from cow's milk, it has a fat content of 25-30% (50-60% in dry matter) and is aged for eight to twelve weeks.

    Before aging, rods are used to pierce the formed curds to distribute the mould (Penicillium roqueforti) evenly through the cheese. The holes can still be seen when the finished wheel is cut open.

    Danish Blue was invented early in the 20th century by a Danish cheese maker named Marius Boel with the intention of emulating a Roquefort style cheese. Danish Blue has a milder flavour characterised by a sharp, salty taste.

    Danish Blue is often served crumbled on salads or as a dessert cheese with fruit.

    Today got practical test about meat cookery.
    Today the test is about grilled lamb cutlets, roasted 2 points lamb and sweet and sour pork.
    Unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures for the first two food that done because I totally forgot about it.
    I was too into cooking, not taking pictures.
    Then I remember that I need to take pictures.
    So I took sweet and sour pork pictures.

    After cooking, had demo for next meat cooking on Thursday.
    So there won’t have any foods pictures till Thursday.
    Be patient to those who want to see food pictures.

    Hygiene class is about revision for next week closed book test.
    We had sort of team play where each team give 3 hardest question and other team have to answer.
    We got two good question and we won. Buahaha.

    After a long tiring day, it was time to go back.
    The weather was so cold but is nice.
    Past few days been raining and is getting colder. Wee~!!

    I have a haircut later on when on the way back.
    My previous hair was so long and all my friends called me ‘apek’!
    This is my new hairstyle.

    Thursday, went for practical class.
    My group exchanges class with another group because they making ice-cream and they need our kitchen.
    So we had a new building kitchen but not the best tho.
    The lesson for day is cutting lamb leg.
    The leg so big and need 4 people as a team to cut it.
    It took quite a while as it so hard.
    Although I’m chicken cutting pro, but still is way different experiences.
    I manage to put my knowledge while doing it.

    Hmm. Today is re-enrolment for Stage 1 cookery to Stage 2 from 9am to 12pm.

    We thought going to be long the re-enrolment and going to take our new timetables.

    I thought us going at 9am but then my friends woke up late.

    So have to wait till they take shower and call me to go to their place.

    At 9am, Donny rang me and i walk to their places.

    Michael and Alga was there.

    So we walked around 20 minutes to reach campus.

    I walked everyday to campus for class so biasa already.

    Reached there, Kit was outside smoking.

    He told us that is so pointless going to campus for the re-enrolment.

    We asked why and guess what, it only took him half minutes to finish enrol. =.=

    We were like ‘WTF’. Damn pointless waking up early for this.

    We went to E122 where we suppose to re-enrol.

    We just have to give our group name, that’s all.

    Have to pay fees by 27 Jun, the amount is like RM7800 $7800. Holy!

    What the hell right.

    After finish, we drank free coffee and chit-chatted for while.

    Then we all went to library to get the lecture notes to study for tomorrow test because website being pain in ass for not letting us log in.

    After lepaking around library, we all went to eat brunch at Es Teller77, Indo food.

    Walk around city for while after eating then ciao home.

    Stay at home until now and is so boring.

    I am supposed to study for tomorrow test but I being lazy.

    There got like 4 assignment waiting for me to complete. Issh.

    Tak ada mood do assignment now. Maybe I will burn midnight oil.

    1. I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you.

    4. A true friend is someone who reaches for your hand and touches your heart.

    5. The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can't have them.

    6. Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.

    7. To the world you may be one person, out to one person you may be the world.

    8. Don't waste your time on a man/woman, who isn't willing to waste their time on you.

    9. Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.

    10. Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened.

    11. There's always going to be people that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.

    12. Make yourself a better person and know who you are before you try and know someone else and expect them to know you.

    13. Don't try so hard, the best things come when you least expect them to.

    Today stay at home almost the whole day until dinner time.
    Today my duty is to clean bathroom.
    Well, it took me an hour because I’m staying with 2 girls.
    So got their hairs to clean and bathroom quite dirty also.
    Haha. Don’t really mind tho since is my job.
    So after finish cleaning, took shower then sit in front of computer till dinner time.
    Later on, friends call me to go some place (forgot the name) for dinner but closed.
    Then my friend driver wanted to eat vegetarian food.
    So we all go till Box Hill to eat at Vege Hut.
    Frankly speaking, I don’t really like vegetarian food but convinced by friends to try.
    So I tried the food at there and it really nice and the foods taste like real meat and seafood.
    No regrets eating there.
    Whoever in Melbourne, seriously need to try that place.
    As a chef, I guarantee satisfaction. Haha.

    Today I cooked pork.
    All about porksss!
    The menus are sweet and sour pork, spare ribs (Australian and American ribs) and pork medallion.
    The foods are so yummy.
    I like sweet and sour pork and spare ribs the most.
    So juicy and yummy.

    The chef just judge by size.

    Today had practical test based on pastry.
    The test includes éclairs, profiteroles, quiche lorraine and bread rolls.
    Took a lot of energy this test, my arms were sore later on.
    Manage to take one pictures only as was rushing through the whole time.
    I was in the bad mood but fine later on. xD
    I didn’t get good grades as no enough time and all.
    My bread rolls could have gotten an A but the chef say too small and all, so I only get C.
